The plan for the peaceful settlement of the crisis in Syria, proposed by Special Envoy of the United Nations and the League of Arab States for Syria Kofi Annan, is the last chance for the Syrian leadership, Turkish President Abdullah Gul said on Saturday.

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad is not able to rule the country, the Turkish president said.

There is the ceasefire regime between the government and the armed wing of the opposition "Free Syrian army" in Syria within the "Annan Plan". But the opposition says about its frequent abuse.
