Israel on Wednesday officially offered peace talks to Lebanon, reported dpa.
A spokesman for Premier Ehud Olmert said Israel was interested in achieving a peace deal with its northern neighbour and wanted to hold "direct and bilateral" talks.
All issues would be on the table, including the controversial question of the Shebaa farms in the triangle between Israel, Lebanon and Syria, the spokesman said.
