Her Highness Shaikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, Chairperson of the UAE General Women's Union, on Sunday received US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.
Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, was present at the meeting held at Al Bahar Palace.
During the meeting, Shaikha Fatima and Rice discussed a host of issues pertaining to women in both the countries and reiterated their commitment to promote the cause of women.
The meeting was also attended by Shaikha Salamah Bint Hamdan, wife of General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Shaikha Shamsah Bint Hamdan, wife of Shaikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Shaikha Alyazia Bint Saif, wife of Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, Shaikha Lubna Al Qasimi, Minister of Economy, Maryam Al Roumi, Minister of Social Affairs, and a number of officials from the women's movement in the country.
