Traffic through the Channel Tunnel linking Britain and France was stopped Thursday after a fire on a freight train, Eurotunnel officials said.
Eurotunnel officials in France said 32 lorry drivers had been evacuated from
the scene of the incident, dpa reported.
In Britain, Kent Fire and Rescue Services said it had sent appliances to a
"serious incident" on the French side of the tunnel.
The fire on the freight lorry broke out at around 1400 GMT Thursday and had
been brought under control.
