Clinton to attend Kabul conference
US Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton will be in Kabul July 20 to attend an international conference on the development of Afghanistan, the State Department said Wednesday, dpa reported.
The conference, co-chaired by the United Nations, is an opportunity for the Afghan government to outline its future plans for development, governing and security, as well as enhancing social services.
The meeting is meant to allow countries to determine who can best help Afghanistan emerge from decades of war.
Clinton will also travel to Vietnam and South Korea during the trip.
