Heavy rainfall in Nicaragua has left at least 12 people dead, civil protection authorities said Sunday, dpa reported.
A family of three was killed in a landslide in the capital Managua on Saturday in the latest casualties after nearly two weeks of rain that have caused many rivers and creeks to overflow their banks.
Most of the casualties were drownings, authorities said.
