The Czech government on Saturday decided to close the embassies in Congo, Venezuela, Kenya, Yemen and Costa Rica as part of the Foreign Ministry's budget saving plan, the CTK news agency reports.
The Czech general consulate in Mumbai, India, will also be closed, RIA Novosti reported.
Originally up to 10 missions were to be closed.
The opposition Social Democrats have criticized the plans saying they would harm Czech exports.
