An earthquake measuring 5.9 on the Richter scale jolted Moro Gulf, Mindanao of southern Philippines at 06:49:49 GMT on Monday (14:49:49 local time), the U. S. Geological Survey said, Xinhua reported.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10.10 km, was initially determined to be at 6.5481 degrees north latitude and 123.7849 degrees east longitude, or 92 km southwest from Cotabato on the island of Mindanao.
