In the five months of 2019 (January-May), 566,048 flights were carried out in Turkey, which is 3.3 percent less compared to the same period of 2018, Trend reports with reference to the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey.
During this period, there were 329,909 domestic flights and 236,139 international flights.
“In January-May, the number of domestic flights decreased by 9.3 percent, while the number of international flights increased by 6.6 percent,” the ministry said.
During the reporting period, a total of 191,686 flights were carried out at three main airports of Turkey - Sabiha Gokcen, Esenboga and Antalya airports.
