The volume of air cargo in Turkey decreased by 15.4 percent from January to September 2019 compared to the same period of 2018, and amounted to 2.492 million tons, Trend reports referring to Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.
From January to September 2019, 626,460 tons of cargo were transported by domestic flights, and 1.865 million tons by international ones.
In the reported period, domestic freight traffic decreased by 11.1 percent compared to the same period of 2018, and freight traffic by international flights decreased by 16.8 percent compared to the same period of 2018.
The freight traffic at the three main airports of Turkey (Sabiha Gokcen, Esenboga and Antalya) was 714,700 tons from January to September 2019.
