Transshipment of goods from Azerbaijan through the ports of Turkey amounted to 49,785 tons in 2020, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey told Trend.
During the specified period, 5,861 tons were handled by ships flying the Azerbaijani flag, and another 43,924 tons - by ships flying the flags of other countries.
According to the ministry, no goods in transit were transshipped from Azerbaijan through the ports of Turkey during 2020.
Last year, the volume of cargo movement through the Turkish ports amounted to 365.4 million tons.
The volume of cargo transshipment by ships flying the flag of Turkey amounted to 29.6 million tons, under the flags of other countries – 335.7 million tons.
During the past year, over 72.4 million tons of cargo passed through the ports of Turkey.
