Information about Azerbaijani diplomat's suicide in Turkey is not true, spokesperson of Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Hikmet Hajiyev told Trend Jan. 23.
Turkish media previously spread information that Fakhraddin Aliyev, a diplomat who worked at the Consulate General of Azerbaijan in Istanbul, killed himself.
Such a person does not work in the system of Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, Hajiyev said.
Meanwhile, Azerbaijani embassy in Turkey told Trend that such an employee does not work at the embassy.
However, in view of the fact that the victim is Azerbaijani, the embassy is clarifying the incident's details and is working jointly with law enforcement agencies, said the embassy's message.
