BAKU MEETING OF PACE MONITORING COMMITTEE TO BE TENSE ENOUGH

The Azerbaijani capital, Baku hosts a meeting of the PACE’s Monitoring Committee on July 5.

Following the announcement, the head of Azerbaijani delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Samad Seyidov, also highlighted вЂ" at a conference at the headquarters of the ruling New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) вЂ" the approval of Baku as a venue for a July 4 meeting of PACE’s sub-committee for refugees and internally displaced persons.

In respect of the Monitoring Committee’s gathering, Seidov said that the event would be held at Hyatt Regency Hotel, with the guests to start arriving in the capital city beginning from July2.

According to the agenda of the meeting, members of the Monitoring Committee will meet representatives from parties that have deputy seat in Milli Majlis (parliament), and then with leaders of other political forces. For the first time, NGOs and the media вЂ" to be sorted out by PACE вЂ" will be invited to discussions over corresponding issues.

For the latter half of the day, there have been planned meetings with officials from the Central Election Commission, Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Internal Affairs, and Justice.
