President of the Azerbaijani Republic Ilham Aliyev signed on 14 July a Decree “On establishing the presidential grant to persons, honored the title the National Hero of Azerbaijan”.
The Decree evaluates highly the merits of persons, bearing the title the National Hero of Azerbaijan, and notes that the state takes systematic measures targeted at meeting the moral and material needs of this category of people, as well as members of their families, Trend reports.
Particularly, each person, bearing the title the National Hero of Azerbaijan, is allocated monthly presidential grant of 3 million mantas.
In case the person, has been honored the title the National Hero of Azerbaijan posthumously or died after receiving the title, presidential grants will be received by members of his family.
In case the person honored the title the National Hero of Azerbaijan posthumously had no wife or children, the right for receiving the grant is given to his parents.
Presidential grants will be given on the account of he state budget and all issues related to its implementation will be solved by the Cabinet of Ministers.
The Decree enters into force beginning from 1 August 2005.
