“The people preparing to meet Rasul Guliyev [the Azerbaijan Democratic Party] called him criminal upon his leaving from the country, but we said that he was leaving to repatriate,” Mirmahmud Miralioglu, the chairman of the Popular Front of Azerbaijan Party (PFAP-classics), told Trend.
Touching upon the decision of Guliyev to repatriate on 17 October, he noted that his repatriation would have positive results for Azerbaijani society, particularly, his friends, supporters and the party.
According to Miralioglu, Guliyev’s repatriation will be held without problems and confrontations. “It would be better if the Azerbaijani government keeps silence, as official representatives of the law-enforcement bodies demonstrate ignorance about laws,’ he added. In his opinion, there are enough intelligent people, who will not take hasty steps.
He also stressed that Guliyev was experienced politician and his repatriation would not evolve confrontation.
