Azerbaijani Culture and Tourism Ministry is monitoring the activities of hotels and tourism companies in Baku and Absheron Peninsula, according to the ministry's official website.
The monitoring is conducted to check the compliance and correspondence with state standards in the services sector and addressing the shortcomings in this area.
The monitoring will also check whether a high level service will be provided during the Baku 2015 - First European Games and is planned to be conducted in three stages throughout 2014.
Currently the first stage of the monitoring is underway in Baku and Absheron (March 31 - April 29).
The following monitoring will be held before the summer season (July 23 - July 22) in other regions of Azerbaijan.
After the summer season the monitoring (October 15 - November 13) will continue in Baku and Absheron.
