The council's secretary general Ramil Hasanov told reporters that the main purpose of the memorandum is to support the creation of a joint tourism product of Turkic-speaking countries, increase the role of the private sector representatives from the member states and expand their cooperation.

Azerbaijan's Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfas Garayev, for his part, told reporters that the projects to be supported through the private tourism associations, will be brought to the international level.

"This will allow to attract large number of tourists to Azerbaijan, Turkey, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan," said the minister.

It was noted that Hungary and other countries can also join this cooperation in the future.

Furthermore, it was decided to hold the third meeting of the tourism ministers in May 2016 in Kyrgyzstan.
