Projects implemented in Azerbaijan, provide an opportunity to open about 15,000 new jobs, Shahin Mustafayev, Azerbaijan's economy minister said Jan. 19.
He made the remarks at a joint meeting of the parliamentary committees on economic policy, industrial policy and entrepreneurship and for legal policy and state construction.
"Over the next year and a half, we plan to realize about 150 projects, which will cover all of Azerbaijani districts and such areas as agriculture, processing and production," he said.
"This will increase economic activity, local products' competitiveness, as well as the share of domestic products in government procurement. Thus, we will regulate local production," he added.
Submitted projects are generally aimed at the growth of domestic and foreign investment, Mustafayev said.
