Yekaterinburg will host the sixth Azerbaijani-Russian inter-regional forum Sept. 30. The first Azerbaijan-Russia Youth Economic Forum will be held as part of the inter-regional forum Oct. 1, the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) said Sept. 17.
The officials and businessmen from Azerbaijan and most of Russian regions, operating in various economic sectors, will attend the forum, the statement said.
"During the event, the members of the Azerbaijani delegation will have the opportunity to expand business relations and find new partners as part of bilateral meetings," a statement said.
According to the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee, the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Russia amounted to $ 1.1 billion in January-July 2015, which is 1.85 percent more than in the same period of 2014. The imports from Russia to Azerbaijan increased by 24.5 percent and amounted to 868.79 million manat.
