The State Statistics Committee summarized the results of investing in economy in the first half of 2005.
In January to August 17067.6m ($3556,935m) was invested with a rise of 11.2%. Investments in the oil sector comprised 96.4% of all foreign investments with a rise of 3.9%.
The forecast indices for 2005 comprise 22,914,2bn manats ($4652.6m with an exchange rate of 4925 AzM/USD), and in January-August actual
investments comprised 74.48% of the total.
According to the State Statistics Committee, over 8 months the investments from all sources made up 4980.6bn manats ($1037.97m), of 71.15% of the forecast (7000bn manats, i.e $1421.3m). The foreign investments made up 12087bn manats ($2,518,96m), or 75.95% of the annual forecast for 15,914,2bn manats ($3231.3m).
Major sources of investing are funds of enterprises (14,908,6bn manats with a rise of 10.5%), banking (790.8bn manats with a rise of 1%), community funds (655.4bn manats with a rise of 45.4%), budget capital (454bn manats with a rise of 56.1%).
