A business-forum with entrepreneurs from Azerbaijan and of the Federal Land Baden Wuertemberg of Germany opened in Baku on Monday. Attending the forum were representatives from 14 business-bodies of the Federal Land and around 100 local businessmen.
The participants in the forum said that it will promote the strengthening of bilateral relationships between Azerbaijan and Germany. The initiative on the organization of the event was put forward in Stuttgart in 2002.
The Deputy Minister for Economic Development, Mikhayil Jabbarov, acquainted the participants in the event with the economic situation in the country, in particular, marking the economic rise in the country by 20%, while it is forecasted to increase 26-30% next year. "It will make Azerbaijan leader in Europe
and worldwide for the pace of economic growth. He also noted the parallel development of all sectors of economy both oil and gas and non-oil sectors, which testifies for the prevention of the Dutch syndrome<” Jabbarov underlined.
It will come as the fist visit to Azerbaijan of such delegation, which includes representatives from middle business, different spheres of business including aluminum coverings, chemical machine-building, automobile parking, metallic technique, construction and saw-timber, medical devices, pipe rolling (Fischer, Protek, Sauter, Eyring, HiTecTrade, Vacono, Barit, Dürr, Layher, Wöhr, etc.).
