100 companies from 20 countries to participate at BakuTel-2005 exhibition

The 11th international telecommunications and information technologies exhibition BakuTel-2005 will be held at Heydar Aliyev Sports Complex from 26 to 29 October with participation of 100 companies from 20 countries. It was said at the news conference of the Iteca Caspian dedicated to the opening of the exhibition.

Mehman Ahmadov, the Vice-President of the Trade and Industry Chamber, Farid Mammadov, the Director of the Iteca Caspian, Bahruz Hidayatzade, the manager of the project participated at the event.

Ahmadov noted that the area of the exhibition was increased by 25% as compare 2004. The companies will presents telecommunications and networks, IT and office technologies, software.

The first Caspian International Conference on information communication technologies (ICT) will be organized jointly with the Azerbaijani Ministry within the exhibition. The conference will be held from 27 to 28 October and cover the most actual ICT issues, including electron government, electron education, electron banking, and regulation of ICT sphere and prospect of establishment of information society in Azerbaijan. The conference with participation of 300 delegates will be opened by Ali Abbasov, the Minister of Communications and Information Technologies. Around 50 presentations will be held at the conference.
