COMMISSIONING CEREMONY OF ETL HAZRI-SIYAZAN AND SUBSTATION IN SIAZAN REGION TOOK PLACE

The commissioning ceremony of 36-km 110kV Electrical Transmission Line (ETL) Hazri-Siazan and 110 kV substation in Siazan region took place on 10 September, Trend reports. A delegation from Turkey, comprising 51 businessmen, parliamentarians and managers of the energy objects, officials from the Ministry of Economic Development of Azerbaijan, the country’s Ministry of Energy and Industry, of various government bodies took part in the event.

Speaking at the ceremony president of Barmek Azerbaijan Huseyn Arabul noted the goal of the company headed by him is the quality increase of the Baku and Sumgaiyt energy distribution networks. Commissioning of these energy objects will essentially improve the regions’ energy supply.

President of Barmek Azerbaijan considers it also necessary to replace ETL Hachmaz-Yalama of 110 kV for the energy supply development of the northern-eastern regions, parts of the energy distribution system of Sumgaiyt.

Head of the Barmek Azerbaijan technical department Vafa Agayev noted ETL is built in line with the world standards. The equipment for ETL is imported from Turkey and Germany.

"There were problems earlier in the energy supply of these regions, as the old ETL did not allow to perform quality servicing, losses of energy were also great. A new line enabled to increase the quality of the energy supply and the losses lowered much more, than we supposed”, he stated.

Chairman of the commission on industry, trade and energy of the Turkish Parliament Soner Aksoy underlined, the practice of Azerbaijan in privatization of the energy distribution networks is significant for Turkey. Head of the executive authority of Siyazan region Movsum Bedirhanov told about achieved positive results in the region’s energy supply.
