Turkey talks ICT co-op with Turkic council members (Exclusive)

Ankara wants to strengthen cooperation in the sphere of information and communication technologies (ICT) with the member-countries of the Turkic Speaking States Cooperation Council - Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications of Turkey Ahmet Arslan said in an exclusive interview with Trend Nov. 29.

He was commenting on the first meeting of ICT ministers of member-countries of the Turkic Speaking States Cooperation Council held in Baku Nov. 29.

Nowadays, information and communication technologies are developing at a terrific speed and have great potential, he said.

The Turkish minister added that by developing cooperation, the countries of the council will be able to get a great benefit in this sphere in Asian and the European regions.

“We want to carry out joint projects in the field of e-government and cyber security, as well as share our experience,” Arslan said.

Cooperation in the field of ICT will make Azerbaijan and Turkey stronger, he said.

“I am confident that the first meeting of ICT ministers of member-countries of the Turkic Speaking States Cooperation Council will benefit our countries,” said Arslan.
