Tajikistan increased the import of finished food products by 20.1 percent since the beginning of 2014, Avesta.Tj reported on April 23.
During the mentioned period the country imported finished food products worth more than $59.7 million compared to $49.8 million during January-March, 2013.
Sausages and confectionery are among the products imported by Tajikistan, which are mainly imported from Russia, Iran and Kazakhstan.
In January-March, 2014 Tajikistan imported products of plant origin worth more than $107.4 million, which is $7.9 million more than during the same period of last year.
