Ashgabat and Seoul will sign a package of bilateral documents aimed at major expansion of the legal framework of cooperation, the Turkmen media reported.

The documents will be signed following the visit of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhammadov to South Korea, which is scheduled for April 11-14.

"During the upcoming Turkmen-Korean summit talks topical areas of cooperation between the two countries based on the priorities of their socio-economic development will be specified," newspaper Neutral Turkmenistan reported Apr.11.

The state news agency Turkmen Dovlet Khabarlary said that strategic vectors of development and the actual content of interstate relations have been identified at the previous summit last summer, when South Korean President Park Geun-hye was in Ashgabat on a state visit.

The national TV channel Altyn Asyr said that participation of well-known Korean companies in the implementation of major infrastructure projects is the evidence of interest on the part of the South Korean partners to expand their presence on the Turkmen market.

Turkmen-Korean business forum organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan and the Korea International Trade Association was held in Ashgabat March 19, 2015.

Consortium of Hundai and LG actively operates on the Turkmen market.

The visit program of Turkmen president in the Republic of Korea envisages participation in the 7th World Water Forum 2015, which will open in Daegu city on April 12.
