The Senate of the Uzbek Parliament approved the “Law on Combating Corruption” during the eighth plenary session Dec. 13, Trend correspondent reported from the session.
The law is aimed at improving efficiency of anti-corruption measures carried out by the state bodies, organizations and civil society institutions, as well as at complete eradication of corruption in all spheres of public life.
The main principles and directions of the state policy on combating corruption, international cooperation in this field, the system of authorized bodies, etc. are included to the law.
The “Law on Combating Corruption”, approved by the senators, will be submitted for approval to the country’s president.
