By Tamkin Jafarov, Saeed Isayev - Trend: Iran plans to build new nuclear power stations in the country, head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization, Ali Akbar Salehi said, Fars news agency reported on Nov. 7.

"Establishing new nuclear power stations would create jobs for 1500 nuclear specialists," Salehi said, adding that there's need for necessary workforce to build new nuclear stations.

In September 2013, Iran's energy minister Hamid Chitchian said in a televised interview that Iran plans to build a new nuclear power plant, which would have capacity to produce 360 megawatt of electricity per hour.

Back in June 2013, former head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, Fereydoon Abbasi Davani said that Iran is committed to building additional power stations in the country.

He also said that has repeatedly announced plans to expand Busher NPP, and add three more power units to the area of the station.
