IRGC hungry to gain control over uncompleted projects in Iran

Khatam ol Anbia, the construction and engineering arm of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) seeks government permission to work on 10 uncompleted development projects.

Ebadollah Abdollahi, the commander of Khatam ol Anbia, said that the base has studied 10 major development projects in the country that are uncompleted and is ready to work on them, Fars news agency reported.

Government has spent $25 billion on the projects and they have been developed by 85 percent, so far, he added.

Abdollahi said that his organization is capable of completing the projects within two years spending about $6 billion. He added that the Islamic Republic's income from the completed projects is estimated to be about $40 billion per year.

According to Abdollahi, the mentioned projects are in the sectors of oil and gas, transport as well as industry.

Khatam ol Anbia is interested to be involved in the development plans of phases 13, 22 and 24 in the South Pars gas field, the construction of Tehran-Shomal Freeway and the construction of two steel factories in the northern town of Miyaneh in East Azerbaijan Province and Bafq Town in the central province of Yazd.
