Iran imported 32 tons of prosthetic eyes in the first ten months of the current Iranian fiscal year (started March 2016).
The value of the imported prosthetic eyes amounted to $44,104, the Iranian customs administration reported.
China was the only origin of the imported prosthetic eyes in the 10-month period.
A prosthetic eye can help improve the appearance of people who have lost an eye to injury or disease. It's commonly called a "glass eye" or "fake eye."
