Azerbaijan and Iran will discuss the development of bilateral relations, particularly in economic sphere.
Esmail Jabbarzadeh, the governor of the Iranian province of East Azerbaijan, will visit Azerbaijan October 19-22.
Jabbarzadeh will arrive in Azerbaijan at the invitation of the head of the Ganja Executive Power Elmar Valiyev.
During the visit, Jabbarzade will hold several meetings in Azerbaijan. The sides will discuss the development of relations between Azerbaijan and Iran, particularly, in the economic sphere.
Valiyev visited Tabriz in February 2015. During the visit, the center of the Iranian province of East Azerbaijan - Tabriz and the Azerbaijani city of Ganja were declared twin cities.
As of 2014, the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Iran amounted to $186.6 million (0.6 percent of the total trade turnover of Azerbaijan).
