The Musavat Party has left the political bloc of the opposition National Council, deputy head of the party Mehman Javadoglu told Trend on Jan.7.

The decision to leave the National Council was taken at a party meeting held yesterday, Javadoglu said.

The decision states that the National Council is a structure created for the presidential election. As the presidential election has already been held, the National Council has completed its mission. In the next few hours a corresponding statement will be issued.
