Dean of Law Faculty of Baku State University (BSU) Firudin Samandarov was dismissed from his post. The decision was taken at an enlarged meeting of University administration, the press service of the University told Trend.
Delivering speech at the meeting, the rector of the University, academician Abel Maharramov noted that next reforms started at the University. Radical decision were made for the purpose of strengthening the work discipline, prevent the observed negative cases by investigating the complaints and offers of the students of faculties of the Law, International Relations and International law received by the rectorate. Dean of the Law Faculty, professor Firudin Samandarov wads dismissed. Pro-rector, professor Elkhan Huseynov was given this post temporarily for the purpose of conducting reforms, making appropriate radical decisions and preparing concrete proposals. Commission has been established by the leadership of pro-rector, professor Vuset Efendiyev for the purpose of conducting cadre reforms, eliminating emptiness in the activity of deanery.
At the same time, chief of Civil Rights Department Reise Dunyamaliyeva, chief of International Special Law and European Law Department Sediyar Zeynalov were dismissed because of the shortcomings in their activity. Chief of Criminalistics Department, professor Kamil Selimov was given severe reprimand for the last time.
Moreover, chief of BSU HR Rustam Ahmadov was dismissed because of serious shortcomings in his activity.
Faculty deans and structure heads were tasked to approach all appeals, especially students attentively and sensibly, make turning point in their activities. It was noted that all negative cases, each behavior which may damage image of the university should be prevented.
