Three under-agers were detained in Turkey during Children's Day celebrations on Wednesday, April 23, according to Turkish Hurriyet newspaper.

The children were reportedly chanting provocative slogans.

Hurriyet newspaper said the under-agers, who joined the celebrations, started chanting 'Berkin is immortal!' slogans, and following this they were detained by the police.

Berkin Elvan, 14, was wounded last year during the protests held in Taksim Square, Istanbul. Elvan passed away in 2014.

Elvan's death was followed by protests in many Turkish cities on March 11.
