Kazakh, Russian FMs to consider Joint Action Plan for 2013-2014

The Kazakh and Russian foreign ministers will consider the projects of the Joint Action Plan for 2013-2014 and the Action Plan for cooperation between the foreign ministries of the two countries for 2013, Kazakh Foreign Ministry spokesman Altai Abibullayev said at a briefing in Astana today.

The Kazakh and Russian foreign ministers will consider the projects of the Joint Action Plan for 2013-2014 and the Action Plan for cooperation between the foreign ministries of the two countries for 2013, Kazakh Foreign Ministry spokesman Altai Abibullayev said at a briefing in Astana today.

The discussions will be held during the next round of Kazakh-Russian inter-ministerial consultations, to be held in Astana on September 13-14.

Abibullayev said Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will take part in the anniversary session and the fourth meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia, and will be received by Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev.

He added that during the consultations the parties will also discuss the implementation of the Joint Action Plan of Kazakhstan and Russia for 2011-2012 and the Action Plan for cooperation between the Kazakh and Russian Foreign Ministries in 2012, which was signed during Foreign Minister Yerzhan Kazykhanov's visit to Moscow in November.

Moreover, the organizational issues for the Nineth Forum of Interregional Cooperation of Russia and Kazakhstan, to be held in Pavlodar on September 19 will be discussed within the consultations.
