Russia and Tajikistan have agreed to prolong validity of registration of work permissions for work migrants, the agreement was reflected in joint agreement of two presidents, signed following the negotiations in Dushanbe, RIA News reported.
"Specific steps on improvement of law mechanisms of work migration regulations, including establishment of legislative and social conditions for working migrants through prolongation of registration and operation validity of their work permissions, "the document stated.
Moreover, work migrants from Tajikistan will receive 3 years long permission to work in Russia, RF president Vladimir Putin noted.
"We are planning to prolong the time of registration to15 days, and their work permission to 3 years. We believe these decisions will contribute to the market of foreign labor in our country and will stabilize the situation with foreign labor and enable more solid legal basis of life planning for Tajik citizens," Putin noted.
