Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) is preparing to launch online TV channel 'Elm TV', the Institute of Information Technologies of ANAS told Trend on Feb.26.
Currently, the broadcasting of the online TV channel is in a test mode and it is locally accessible for structural units of ANAS, the institute said.
The project will available on the science.az portal, where it will be possible to become familiar with seminars and conferences organized by ANAS. The Academy of Sciences has already purchased the necessary studio equipment.
The main objective of the project is to provide information in the form of news and videos about ongoing scientific programs in the country, projects, and in general about what is happening today in the field of science.
Currently, the work on creation of a new version of the science.az portal is underway. It is planned to complete the work in the near future.
Azerbaijan broadcasts nine republican TV channels and about five online TV channels.
