Azerbaijan, Sheki, 5 May / Trend corr E. Guliyev/ Anne Derse, the US Ambassador to Azerbaijan, said that the USA will support Azerbaijan's efforts towards protection of its rich historical heritage.
" Azerbaijan's cooperation with other countries in the field of culture brings together the countries, and is a good example of relationships amongst the people," Derse said at the opening ceremony of restored Alban church in Gakh region on 5 May.
An Alban church in the Gum village of Azerbaijani Gakh region, which is located 432km north-west of Baku, was overhauled though the financial support of the USA. $30,000 has been spent for reconstruction.
According to Derse, the USA will always support cultural exchange program of Azerbaijan.
