There are normal relations between Azerbaijan and Russia. Baku fulfils all the obligations connected with their further development, deputy speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament Bahar Muradova said today.
"Azerbaijan's relations with neighbouring Russia are normal," she said. "Azerbaijan is fulfilling all its obligations connected with further maintenance and development. There were, there are and perhaps there will be forces trying to harm these relations.
"It is important for the officials of the two countries to continue maintaining good relations between Russia and Azerbaijan and not to yield to provocation. I believe that this will be so."
The topic of the Russian-Azerbaijani relations became urgent after Russian ambassador to Azerbaijan Vladimir Dorokhin's recent visit to Azerbaijani northern regions bordering with Russia, Azerbaijani media reported.
