Andreas Herkel, the Co-Rapporteur of PACE (Parliamentary Assembly of Council of Europe) for Azerbaijan, said on air of broadcatinbg station, Radio Liberty that Azerbaijan obligations to the Council of Europe might be discussed during the forthcomning summer season of PACE to be held in June, 2007, but not during the spring session in April, 2007, as it was expected before, Trend reports.
He said that the report on Azerbaijan was deferred due to some reasons. However, the PACE Rapporteur did not tell these reasons.
Notably, the issue on Azerbaijan fulfilling its obligation to CE was expected to be discussed during the spring session of PACE to be held in April, 2007. An initial reading of the report to be delivered by the Co-Rapporteirs has been prepared. Oficial Baku is to express written attitide towards the document till the end of February, 2007.
