BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 15. Software industry and modern technologies are among the most promising sectors of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Serbia, ex-President of Serbia Boris Tadic told Trend in an exclusive interview.

As Tadic noted, Serbia expects boosting cooperation with Azerbaijan in various fields, such as education, agriculture, and pharmaceutical industry.

“Both of our countries have a lot of talented people. We have to cooperate in exchanging knowledge within our human resources,” he said.

The ex-president also noted the potential of cooperation towards clean energy transition between Azerbaijan and Serbia, as well as within traditional gas industry.

“Azerbaijan is going to be a much more important player for the European energy market. With TANAP and TAP Azerbaijan can secure the market and boost its energy exports. Serbia has not made an agreement yet, but hopefully the country will approach to the project, connect to the pipeline, and get Azerbaijani gas in the upcoming years,” Tadic added.
