In January-April, Azerbaijan imported about 21,900 cars with a 2.8-percent decrease from the same period of last year, State Statistics Committee reported.
The amount of passenger cars imported during the reported period totaled around $142 million in January-April with an 11.5-percent decrease from the same period of last year.
In January-April, Azerbaijan imported roughly 3,000 trucks which is by 5.3 percent less than the same period of the last year. The amount of imported cars totaled more than $37 million which is by 20.8 less than in 2008.
Also in January-April, the Republic imported 250 buses with a 54.4-percent down from 2008. The imported buses totaled nearly $12.5 million which is by 28.3 percent less than the same period of last year.
