Tajik finance Minister Safarali Nazhmiddinov and the head of the World Bank's office in Tajikistan Marsha Olive signed an agreement on allocation of $16.2 million to the country, Avesta.tj reported on Thursday.
The aim of the grant is to provide Tajikistan with assistance in the preschool and general education systems' development in the country.
The modernization will be achieved by improvement of educational centres, holding trainings for teachers, modernization of educational programs and materials, building and restoration of schools and other educational objects.
The project is also aimed at the successful future of Tajik children.
