Oil production in Kazakhstan up by over 6%

Oil production in Kazakhstan in January-September 2018 amounted to 57,629 million tons, which is 6.6 percent more than in the same period of 2017, Statistics Committee of Kazakh National Economy Ministry said in a report.

During this period, 9.719 million tons of gas condensate (down by 2.1 percent year-on-year), 41.45 billion cubic meters of natural gas (up by 5.9 percent), and 84.441 million tons of coal (up by 5.7 percent) were produced in the country.

Moreover, 31.727 million tons of iron ore (up by 9.5 percent), 76.422 million tons of copper ore (up by 4.6 percent), 15.472 million tons of gold ore (up by 5.6 percent), and 3.681 million tons of chrome concentrate (up by 6.5 percent) were produced.

Meanwhile, gasoline production in Kazakhstan in January-September 2018 amounted to 2.84 million tons, which is 21.8 percent more than in the same period of 2017.

In the first 9 months of this year, 241,900 tons of kerosene (up by 15 percent year-on-year), 1.84 million tons of liquefied propane and butane (up by 6.3 percent), 3.5 million tons of gas oil (up by 4.6 percent), and 2.13 million tons of fuel oil (down by 9.4 percent) were produced.

In addition, 1.5 million tons of ferroalloy (up by 6.5 percent), 2.2 million tons of flat steel (up by 4.2 percent), 112,800 tons of refined lead (up by 0.7 percent), 246,100 tons of zinc (up by 0.1 percent), and 319,600 tons of refined copper (up by 2.7 percent) were produced in Kazakhstan in January-September 2018.
