Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a video conference on fulfilling the forecast of state budget revenues, Trend reports citing the presidential press service.

The share of small and medium enterprises in Uzbekistan’s economy reaches 59.4 percent.

At the end of 2018, 76.3 percent of Uzbekistan’s population was employed in this area.

At a video conference, the necessity of providing land to entrepreneurs through an online auction and providing electronic data exchange between departments for registering property was noted. It was proposed to organize, according to international experience, a separate structure that independently carries out state registration of property rights.

The head of state noted that it is necessary to give a powerful impetus to the ongoing work on the ground to create new industries and establish a system for the provision of services with the participation of entrepreneurs.

Today, production volumes in 49 districts and services in 63 regions of the country are at a very low level, which indicates that their potential, land, raw materials and labor resources are not fully utilized.

Therefore, permanent working groups of the Ministry of Economy and Industry were organized and assigned to industries for the development of industry and services on the ground.

These structures were entrusted with exploring the potential of each district and city, developing a program for creating new capacities, developing infrastructure and services for 2020. Head of state instructed these structures to sell almost 1,500 objects of state ownership and with a state share, as well as restore the activity of 70,000 entrepreneurs.

President instructed an ad hoc working group led by the Business Ombudsman to fully commission equipment worth $305 million, which was imported by entrepreneurs over the past three years, but has not been used.

At a video conference, the Tax Committee was instructed to implement a new system of full tax collection in Nov.-Dec. this year in the cities of Nukus, Andijan, Bukhara, Jizzakh, Karshi, Namangan, Samarkand, Fergana, Urgench, Kokand, as well as in Zangiatinsky, Gizhduvansky, Urgutspsky, Khaz districts and 11 districts of the city of Tashkent, where tax revenues do not match their potential.
