Products worth $100M exported from Iran’s Golestan province

From the beginning of this Iranian year (March 21, 2019), 325,000 tons of products worth $100 million have been exported from Iran’s Golestan province, said Hossein Toluian, chairman of the Golestan province Industry, Mine and Trade Organization, Trend reports referring to the organization’s website.

Toluian said that the products of the Golestan province were exported to 20 countries, including Iraq, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan and Kazakhstan.

The chairman added that cheese and other dairy products, polystyrene, tomatoes, iron pipes, steel fittings, iodine, cement, paint, polyethylene sheets, detergent powder and eggs are the main export products.

Toluian noted that exports will continue this Iranian year, and products worth $300-350 million will be exported.

Last Iranian year (March 21, 2018 - March 21, 2019), 386,000 tons of products worth $253 million were exported via the customs of the Golestan province to a number of countries, including those in Central Asia.
