Number of enterprises put into operation in Iran's Yazd Province expands

The number of enterprises put into operation in the Yazd Province (central Iran) increased by 24 percent during the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 20 through December 20, 2020), compared to the same period last Iranian year, said the Chairman of the Industry, Mine, and Trade Organization of the Yazd Province, Mohammad Reza Alamdar Yazdi, Trend reports citing the organization’s website.

According to Alamdar Yazdi, 225 industrial enterprises were put into operation over the reporting period.

The chairman stressed that a total of 14.8 trillion rials (about $353 million) was invested in the construction of these enterprises.

“The investments increased by 45 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year,” he added.

Alamdar Yazdi noted that 2,530 people were employed with the launch of these enterprises in Yazd Province.
