The marketing service of the Georgian Railways submitted the Action Plan for 2006. The report from the Georgian Railways says, the strategy, produced by the service in the current year envisages due attention to the requirements of customers, quick shaping of documents and efficiency of the control system, Trend reports. It also implies development of methods for forecasting additional freight flow, contacts with customers and identification of profitable container routes.
The report also says, the Marketing service researches industrial and transport markets and works over involvement additional goods, over the conditions for their involvement into the TRACECA corridor. To this end, the work with the relevant services from Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan is carried out.
Under the Action Plan and with the help of respective specialists the simulation model (on freight category) will be established, which will identify profitability for drawing certain cargo. In regard to establishing the Logistics Centre working groups of the Georgian Railways and the port of Poti carry out relevant preparatory works.
