Oil supply to Kazakh refineries increases in Jan.-Aug.

The actual oil delivery to the Kazakh refineries amounted to 9.425 million tons in January - August 2012 compared to 8.782 million tons in the same period of 2011, the Kazakh Statistics Agency's Central Dispatching Administration reported.

The report reads that the oil delivery to the Kazakh refineries hit 1.304 million tons in August, or 38.3 percent less compared to July. In September 2011 oil delivery to the Kazakh refineries amounted to 1.331 million tons.

The volume of imported oil for the Kazakh refineries hit 661,700 tons in August, which occupies 50.7 percent of total shipments, including the Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant initially focused on Russian crude oil refining - 492,000 tons.

Kazakhstan has three oil refineries including Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant, Shymkent refinery and Atyrau refinery.
