Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR drilled 138,000 meters in 2017, which is 30.7 percent more than in 2016, said the company Jan. 22.
Some 93 percent of the total drilling work carried out last year accounted for production drilling, and remaining part – for exploratory drilling.
SOCAR commissioned a total of 81 new wells in 2017.
The company drilled 105,250 meters in 2016 as compared to 104,410 meters in 2015.
